FAQ
Will my pet insurance cover veterinary physiotherapy costs?
The majority of insurance companies will cover physiotherapy costs, however full payment will still be required on the day of treatment and I will provide you with a receipt after every session and an invoice at the end of treatment which you can provide to your insurance company.
How many physiotherapy sessions will I need to book?
This will depend on the individual patient and progression made.
How can I tell who is qualified to treat my dog?
There are many services offered currently, and it can be confusing to know what to look for when looking for a veterinary physiotherapist. Any credible musculoskeletal professional will only act on referral/permission from a veterinarian and they will remain in contact with them throughout the process.
Do I need a Veterinary Referral for Physiotherapy?
Yes. In order to comply with the Veterinary Surgeons Act, it is a legal requirement for veterinary physiotherapists to obtain consent from a veterinary surgeon before treating your pet. Veterinary surgeons are able to complete an online referral form or I can send the form to your vets directly.
